Corporate social responsibility

Welcome at our Website about the social responsibility of corporations, NGO's and governments.

This website is a personal initiative for development and proliferation of knowledge and expertise of sustainable development, social responsibility, business ethics and environment from the domain of accountancy.

Based on the theory and practical experiences of accountancy, it proved to be possible to apply the knowledge, principles and models to the new aims of sustainability and responsibility of organisations towards its stakeholder groups. The domain of accountancy comprises management accounting, information accounting including internal controls, external reporting and audits of these systems and reports.

The relation between accountancy can be described in two ways:

1. what is the impact of environment, socio-ethics and other societal issues on the financial accounting and reporting
2. how can the instruments of "financial accountancy" be used to solve societal problems.

Both views have a closely connected relevance while financial stakeholders are interested in both financial and reputational aspects of an organisation's performances.

It is a personal initiative, also because I did my PhD in this subject and participated in several commissions and bodies to use and share this expertise. You will find more in my CV and in my own publications.

It is my aim to share my expertise with my participation in divers international bodies and with this Website.

Since 1984, I have my accountancy practice specialised on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. Since 2002, I have separated my practice under the name of TranspaRAbility and deliver services as an independent consultant and assurance provider on environmental management, integrity an corporate social responsibility to companies, governments, NGO's and other organisations.
